Types of expertise

Pre-delivery surveys

It is a comprehensive inspection with detailed inspections of the hull, systems, engines, equipment and fittings, documentation, aesthetics and offers assessments of the vessel's general condition, performance and value. It is essential for verifying the true status of the vessel and useful for an assessment of the sale price or for possible negotiation at the time of sale.

Insurance appraisals

An insurance appraisal involves a detailed analysis of the vessel's condition and is required by insurance companies to assess the vessel's value and safety and is necessary to determine the correct insurance premium and to verify that the vessel is seaworthy and complies with safety regulations.

Expert opinions in the event of damage or loss

This type of expert report is required to ascertain the dynamics of the accident, an assessment of the damage suffered and an estimate of the costs of repair or compensation. The appraisal is essential for the insurance company to determine the amount of compensation and quantify the right compensation.

Pre-delivery survey

This is a detailed inspection to check the condition of the boat before it is delivered to the buyer, ensuring that it corresponds to the technical characteristics, options and accessories stipulated in the sales contract and that it is in a seaworthy condition.

Appraisals

This type of appraisal determines the boat's market value, taking into account various factors such as its condition, accessories, engine and maintenance history. It serves to establish a fair price for sale or purchase and can also be useful for insurance purposes or to obtain financing.

Sworn appraisals

A sworn sworn report is a technical report drawn up by a nautical expert that is sworn and sworn at the court, giving it legal value.

Party technical consultancy - CTP

Party technical consultancy (CTP) is a service provided by experts in the nautical sector to assist a party in a legal or insurance dispute in order to obtain the best compensation or indemnity.

How it works

Documentary and certification control

We carefully examine all documentation relating to the yacht, such as ownership certificates, certificates of conformity, class and registry documents, sailing licences and details of any refitting work carried out.

General control

We carry out a visual inspection of all areas of the yacht, interior and exterior, including an assessment of aesthetics and maintenance.

Dry inspection

With the dry yacht, we conduct a thorough inspection of the hull to examine it in detail. Through non-destructive testing (NDT), hull thickness and moisture levels can be measured, checking structural integrity and identifying any problems such as corrosion, damage, cracks, osmosis.

Quayside testing

We carry out a series of dockside tests to check the operation of all systems and instruments installed on board, ensuring that they are working properly.

Sea trial

The sea trial allows us to test the performance of the boat, such as the condition of the propulsion equipment, manoeuvrability, stability, speed and comfort while sailing.

Final Report

Our final report collects the results of the inspection, providing a detailed description of the yacht's condition and any problems encountered. This document shows the condition of the yacht and its value, which is essential for making informed decisions and negotiating the best possible deal.

Supervision of nautical work

Entrusting the supervision of the work to a team of surveyors is essential to guarantee a result that meets expectations, whether refitting or structural work. We take care of the preliminary analysis of the project, the technical evaluation of the materials and the identification of the most suitable site, monitoring each phase until the final handover.

Final Report

At the end of the work, a site closure report is drawn up with official documentation certifying the quality of the work carried out.
The report, supplemented by the yard's invoices, represents added value for the boat, both at the sales stage and for insurance purposes.
